Tragedy and song
Troutman’s musical career began with tragedy as a car accident sidelined his burgeoning middle-school baseball career. Homebound, he learned to play the guitar and sing, finding a new love in music. The native Texan draws his inspiration from Lone Star legends such as Robert Earl Keen, Josh Abbott Band, Pat Green, and Willie Nelson. Troutman is also a former member of the early 2000’s band, Parts Unknown.
Troutman began working in a high-pressure Wall Street job and sought an escape from the stress of the corporate world. He headed to mother nature for refuge and signed up for a fly fishing group. Troutman immediately fell in love with the sport and believes his two passions, music and fly fishing, mesh perfectly together and are connected on a spiritual level. He is now on a mission to share his world of music and fly fishing with others.
In addition to his creative pursuits, Troutman is a proud husband, and father. His ideas of family, spirituality, and the great outdoors are reflected in his music, which he hopes to inspire others in the world of fly fishing.
